EDUEXPO in Adams County! THIS SATURDAY 9-2:30 @ ACHS

The ‘in’s and out’s’ of applying to college/university/community college can be VERY intimidating and often VERY complicated. The EDUEXPO, hosted by CEaRAC (Coalition for the Educational Advancement for Residents of Adams County), is a space for you and your college-bound student to get advice to make the process much easier!

Workshops will be given to guide you through the process of applying for financial aid (student loans, scholarships, grants etc.), where to find these sources of funding, and most importantly, how the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) process works.

If you are a non-traditional student looking to go back to college or a middle school or early high school student, there are also many opportunities for exploring your future options at the EDUEXPO. Learn about the different types of higher education and how you can explore what might be right for you and why getting your education is important.

There are also opportunities for students to talk about the transition from high school to college (or return learners: from the working world to college). There are even sessions to help you with your resume and interviewing skills.

This day has been put together to give more information and guidance to teens, parents, and non-traditional students for making the most of a college degree and getting as much help with funding it as possible!

Don’t miss this opportunity or the GREAT PRIZES that will be given away throughout the day:
• Two $5000 Scholarships to Community College of Denver
• Ten Educational Class Scholarships (Ex. ESL, Computer, GED) to Intergenerational Learning Community
• iPad-Colorado State University-Access Center
• iPod-Colorado State University-Access Center
• Kindle-Regis University/Dual Language Campus
• And several gift cards and university gear

The EDUEXPO will be at Adams City High School from 9-2:30 and is open to all Adams County families looking to learn more about their educational options! To find out more visit
